this is year five of our truly independent, creatively curated and crafted ‘alternative’ jazz / not-jazz festival. while every city - and most second cities - across america & around the world hosts at least one jazz festival annually… this… is not that.

rebel.jazz.fest is intntionally and demonstrably different. we dig deep into the local los angles jazz community - pulling from the abundance of emerging and established artists and ensembles, we make sure that what we present represents what we love in and about the music. no “headliners”, no “names for name’s sake”, and no “filler”.

we are also careful to program real musicians, playing original music and distinct sights and sounds found left of center. there will not be other genres spot-lighted. there is always a dance component - thus is the culture of this thing that we love. … and now for something completely different.
